I always tell photographers that the post processing is as important as finding subjects and photographing them. My images never look that good coming out of the camera, the magic happens in the post processing.
Here is the image out of the camera. It's looks soft as they usually do, and the cropping out of the camera is not what I want the final image to look like.
I always like to crop out anything I don't feel adds to the image, and fill the frame more with the most interesting areas of the subject. I used Smart Photo Editor pretty much on all my images, and for this one, I first sharpened the image, and then added a couple different filters to get the look you see here.
So as you can see the magic happens in the post processing.
